The Brooklyn Museum Is Stepping It Up

by The Daily Front Row

The Brooklyn Museum is getting serious about getting those fashion faces there. September 10th marks the opening of the ‘Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe’ exhibition which celebrates more than 160 historical and contemporary heels on loan from designers and from the museum’s costume collection, housed at the the Met. Some of the names stepping out? Manolo Blahnik, Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, Iris van Herpen, Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, Prada, and Elsa Schiaparelli. There will also be six specially-commissioned short films inspired by high heels from filmmakers such as Steven Klein, Nick Knight, and Marilyn Minter. The exhibition will run through February 15th, 2015. As much as we’re looking forward to Summer, could this come any sooner?
