Lisa Perry trotted out her stylish spin on tennis-apropos shades of white for Spring ’14 at her show yesterday, and the designer dished to us about being in a rare neutral state of mind, compared to her normally color-crazy palette. Serve it up, Lisa!
You’re a tennis fangirl! What’s your court preference?
I play on a grass court.
Were you able to squeeze in a game or two at the US Open?
No, I haven’t been yet, but I watch it a lot. I’ve been preparing for the show.
Your Spring ’14 collection is a total white out! Why?
I used very traditional tennis fabrics in a dressier way. All white was kind of taking a risk because I’m so much about color. It felt very, very fresh.
And how was your summering out in Sag Harbor?
I love Long Island, I don’t need to go far to be happy. Two hours away and I’m in the greatest place in the world for me!
