Target And The CFDA [Fashion Incubator] Program’s Pre-NYFW Fête

by Dena Silver

Last night, accessory fiends were completely in their element when Target and the CFDA [Fashion Incubator] program threw a chic accoutrement-focused soiree. Hosted in Target’s new gallery space in the heart of Chelsea, the room was buzzing with a slew of accessory designers who have taken part of one of the three current and past Incubator programs. Brands on display included Dezso by Sara Beltran, Isa TapiaGrey Ant, KARA, A Peace Treaty, Gemma Redux, and more.

“It’s Fashion Week, and all the ready-to-wear designers have their moments, but the accessory designers really don’t. So we thought that we have this new gallery space, so why not throw a party and celebrate these accessory designers?” explained Target’s director of design partnerships, Noria Morales. Attendees at the celebration included the CFDA’s Steven Kolb, Mary Alice Stephenson, Zanna Roberts Rassi, Athena Calderone, Jennifer Fisher, BryanBoy, Danielle Bernstein, Selby Drummond, and Sam Broekema. Plus, each guest walked away from the evening with a tasty accessory of their own: some gold-dusted chocolate bites in the shape of gems. Accessories for all!
