Town & Country Travel Celebrates Its Return At The Plaza’s Palm Court
Last night, the return of Town & Country Travel, the jetsetting offshoot of T&C, got a proper welcome-back-to-the-newsstand party at The Plaza’s rebooted Palm Court. T&C‘s editor-in-chief, Jay Fielden, toasted the redux of the globetrotting title, which was around from 2003 to 2008, with the title’s travel editor at large (and former Conde Nast Traveler EIC) Klara Glowczewska and chef Geoffrey Zakarian, who recently took over the iconic Palm Court.

Town & Country’s Stellene Volandes On The Mag’s Modern Swans List
Town & Country‘s upcoming August issues feature their list of “Modern Swans”, aka the 50 girls who rule the social universe. Intrigued with how they cultivated the list, we rang T&C‘s executive style director Stellene Volandes to find out how names like Emily Weiss, Taylor Tomasi Hill, and Coco Sumner became swans. Get the whole

The Assistant Files, Vol 40: Leena Kim, Town & Country's Jay Fielden
This week The Daily visited the chic société of Town & Country, for another installment of The Assistant Files. We sat down with Leena Kim, who’s in charge of keeping EIC Jay Fielden on schedule (and well-fed). While frequent trips to the glossy’s archive closet and the Hearst caf keep Kim busy, this NYU grad is also a fan of the T&C happy hour. Does your office have a namesake cocktail?! BY DENA SILVER
Alex Gonzalez Named Executive Artistic Director At Town & Country
Another Hearst artistic director gig for Alex Gonzalez! In addition to his artistic director title at Marie Claire, Gonzalez is taking on the role of executive artistic director position at Town & Country, effective immediately. Gonzalez will continue to report to Anne Fulenwider, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire, in addition to Town & Country's EIC, Jay Fielden. Before Marie Claire, Gonzalez was creative director at W.
The Whitney Goes Postal
A crowd of arty types, a handful of editors, and one Olivia Wilde numbered a grand at last night's annual Whitney Art Party, hosted by the art museum's youthful, hip set, aka Whitney Contemporaries. The locale was that sorta-subterranean Skylight at Moynihan Station space under the city's main post office. And how much did the Museum rake in from its young, hip set of supporters and their pals (dressed, might we add, far more eclectically than the majority of museum benefits one might find themselves at)? A cool $450K and change.
Paris Moments: Town & Country's Ambassadorial Eve!
Besides all the (must-warranted) fuss over splendor on the runways during Paris Fashion Week, there are shindigs du note happening left and right. On the refined end of the soiree spectrum: last week's Town & Country bash, held at the abode of Ambassador Charles Rivkin and his wife, Susan Tolston. The eve's woman of honor? T&C fashion editor-at-large, Jade Hobson. Carine Roitfeld and Stephen Gan rolled through, as did T&C's EIC, Jay Fielden, Hayley Bloomingdale, Indre Rockefeller, Shala Monroque, and Dior's Olivier Bialobos, and Andre Leon Talley (we can't get enough of this superexcited meet-and-greet shot with ALT and...
A Mega Moment! With Carine Roitfeld
Can't get enough Carine? Join the club. We chatted up the freshly-minted Bazaar-ette after her titillating Q&A with Jay Fielden on Monday for an exclusive, additional dose of la vie en Roitfeld. Bazaar gets the first dose of Carine as global fashion director—16 pages worth!—in the March issue. Are you happy with the outcome? I hope it’s going to be a success
Carine Roitfeld Talks Bazaar and (Far) Beyond With T&C's Jay Fielden
Hanging onto every saucy, often pretty poignant, bit of Franglish that comes out of Carine Roitfeld's mouth is the norm. But add Town & Country EIC Jay Fielden to the mix at his full charm capacity, in interviewer mode, as was the case at last night's Q&A sesh at the Hearst Tower, and Roitfeld's newish gig as Harper's Bazaar's global fashion director, and there are more CR gems to fawn over than usual. Behold the most memorable quotables!
