The designer, who has been on fashionâ€™s good side for the past few seasons, has the obvious ability to make silky fabrics imprinted with cheery botany into masculine staples. Van Noten sourced his blossoms from different eras and locales, creating effortless combos.
Hot Scots! Zang Toi Dons A Kilt, And More
At last night's "From Scotland With Love: The Scottish Lion Meets The Asian Dragon" extravaganza, there was plaid on plaid on plaid (but of course!) and a generous helping of men in kilts. This catwalk bow shot featuring Zang Toi (he skirts up quite well, non?) and a trio of mods in Far East and Scottish garb captures the joie.
Milan Fall 2013: Alberta Ferretti
Alberta Ferretti: Although Alberta Ferretti's collection wasn't as overtly Russie-inspired as some other designer ethos this season, there were indeed sophisticatedly subtle hints of the ancienne far east locale. Take, for example, an azure blue silk wool military style jacket with hints of velvet on the collar and red piping, paired with a matching floor-length skirt, or a long navy plaid dress coat, festooned with embroidered roses trailing down the middle. Also, a few long sleeved floor-length, white empire waist chiffon dresses certainly seemed fit for a czarina. On the accoutrement front, iron cross earrings adorned each model, but...
