Style.com Has Been Restructured By Condé Nast

Style.com’s management structure has been tweaked a bit: The digital destination for all things runway-related is now under Anna Wintour‘s watch. Remember back in August, when most of Fairchild Media got acquired by Penske Media? Well, Style.com was not part of that plan. Instead, they were taken under the Condé wing, and apparently received a bit of restructuring in the process. Now the site’s editor-in-chief, Dirk Standen reports directly to Wintour, while Style.com publisher, Matt Rice, reports to Vogue publisher Susan Plagemann, according to WWD. Style.com will also be relocating to Condé’s new home at One World Trade Center later this month, on the 29th floor.

This isn’t the first time Wintour and Style.com have been closely linked. Back in 2000, Style.com was founded as the online destination for both Vogue and W. A decade later, their ownership changed hands when Condé Nast sold the site to Fairchild Media. The reason? Wintour wanted Vogue to be its own online destination. Wondering how Wintour’s new role with Style.com will pan out? Us, too…
