Stella McCartney Fall 2015

by Alexandra Ilyashov

Fluid lines, a true sense of effortlessness, plenty of cozy knits, and some interesting plays on volume: welcome to Stella McCartney‘s vision for Fall. Fairly simple silhouettes, rife with cinched waists and flattering volume plays, were jazzed up with truly novel cutouts, one-arm detailing, and architectural asymmetrical stylings. The whitewashed looks were especially chic, like the one-armed cream knit in look five, the truly perfect tunic and trou combo in look 31, or the really lush, snow-hued faux furs in in looks 33 and 35. Minimalist, sure, but McCartney’s clean lines avoid being too sterile thanks to the quietly whimsical touches in the mix.
