Sherri Hill Fall 2015

by Daniel Chivu

All about eveningwear! Sherri Hill rolled out an extensive spate of black-tie and tapis rouge-ready looks for Fall last night, and the dressy looks befitted the posh Plaza Hotel location. Luxe and very weather-apropos, a series of velvet gowns were on offer, in rich shades of navy, Merlot, and eggplant, and for an unabashed, all-out glam factor, there was a lush full-skirted burgundy look paired with a thoroughly embellished plunging-V neckline. Also of note: a sweetheart-neckline, curve-hugging, teal and nude number. Jewel-tone gowns abounded, including a regal purple-hued number with a dramatic, voluminous finish and fitted, heavily encrusted bodice, or a raspberry haltered pleated satin frock with a deep keyhole cutout and bejeweled neckline and belt. For Hill’s younger clientele, there were a couple of abs-baring crop-top looks, like an icy, high-necked iridescent halter paired with a cheeky white feathered miniskirt. Plus, there was a series of chic white and cream gowns in the mix, some sporting gilded detailing, marking Hill’s bridal debut. From the hautest of proms to the gala circuit, Hill has her devoted following covered for Fall.
