Sergio Says! Musings From Cosmo (And Beyond…)

by The Daily Front Row

This week was brutal, demanding, and tiring! Apart the usual headache of trying to squeeze in one too many meetings, lunches, conference calls, and appointments into THE BOSS’ schedule, I had to organize JoCo’s trip to Los Angeles for an end of summer bash celebrating Cosmo’s super sexy September cover with the star of The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev. Luckily, I had an excuse for not tagging along to LA LA Land. There’s some major redecorating taking place this weekend at casa de Sergio. I bought all new furniture: an all-white TV cabinet, a gray plush velvet sofa from Crate & Barrel and a never-will-want-to-get-up-from leather chaise from Restoration Hardware. I see a bright future ahead filled with endless hours on this chaise while watching The Daily Show, Real Housewives of New Jersey, and South Park (food for the mind!). In between the L.A. hoopla and working on Cosmo’s October issue (with a MAJOR icon on the cover), I met up with Jason Derulo for a preview of his slamming 3rd album “Tattoos” and got the inside scoop on his unreal work-outs. He is ripped! For a few minutes I felt bad about not having a six-pack, but then I remembered my love of fried foods and Bloody Marys and that feeling quickly faded away. I also got a preview of Celine Dion’s brand new album called “Loved Me Back To Life”. One word: EPIC! That’s right, Madonna’s dad’s fave singer and one of the best voices of our generation has made one of the best albums of the year with collaborations from Ne-Yo and Sia. It will be out in November. There was also that tiny matter of Cher giving me a shout-out on her website! That’s right, THE legendary icon knows my name and referred to me as “a very cool blogger/journo who works at Cosmopolitan”!!! I am not worthy! Oh, and I ended my crazy week with a few (5) Bloody Marys courtesy of Tito’s Vodka, who came to Cosmo for a tasting and made special Bloody mix just for us! It was the perfect ending to a long week!

Before I go, check out a batch of my fave new songs, you can thank me later. I’ll be back next week, until then catch me on Twitter at @SergioKletnoy
