Ruffian designers Claude Morais and Brian Wolk (well known to our readers as longtime contributors) have announced that they are skipping New York Fashion Week this year to take their Spring collection to Los Angeles for the first time. The design duo’s been living the bicoastal life lately, and they’ve partnered with the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board and will be designing their collection in L.A. and source its textiles and sew the collection exclusively using local L.A. resources and manufacturing suppliers. “Our creative residency in Los Angeles over the last three months has provided endless inspiration and it made perfect sense to show our collection in the city which inspired it,” Wolk and Morais told The Daily. Ruffian’s collections in recent seasons have been a staple at NYFW at Lincoln Center. West Coasters will get a taste of the collection when it comes to light “in the heart of Hollywood” on October 27th.
