by The Daily Front Row

Residents of Rhinebeck, New York are getting a chic new neighbor. Marc Jacobs CEO Robert Duffy has reportedly bought the historic Astor Tea House for $2.31 million according to the Post. The luxury property was built in 1948 by Vincent Astor and was designed by David Pleydell-Bouverie. The house was originally built to be part of the Astor Courts estate, which was built by Vincent’s great grandfather, John Jacob Astor IV in 1902. The house was said to be a playground of America’s aristocracy and most recently hosted Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding to banker Marc Mezvinsky in 2010. So, what makes this abode worth the millions, other than its aristocratic history? It buys you four bedrooms, five baths, 5,295 square feet, and 32 acres of scenic views of the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Sounds like our cup of tea!
