Resort 2014: Zac Posen

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Zac Posen always gets the girls! The designer is always seen arm-in-arm escorting the coolest chicks to all the high-profile events like his recent twirling, head-turning appearance with Juliette Lewis at the CFDA’s. So it’s no wonder that he’d be able to score legendary ’70s supermodel, Pat Cleveland and her model daughter, Anna Cleveland to model his resort collection. It had us wondering, has Pat Cleveland found the fountain of youth? She hardly looks a day older than her own daughter.

Also, ageless? Zac Posen’s designs. The designer knows a thing or two about making a woman feel glamorous and creating dresses that would look fantastic in (just about) every era you can think of. Resort was full of Posen’s pretty frocks in light pastels like mint and peach to rich raspberry and emerald green. Evening gowns ran the gamut from an whispy tiered chiffon one-shouldered pale mint green dress that looked as fabulous on Cleveland as some similar ’70s numbers she actually modeled during the decade to an emerald green strapless flair skirted gown on Anna with butterfly details that were dispersed in a way as to appear to flutter up the fabric of the dress. For the more casual clothing (and we uses the term casual lightly here) there was a velvet mint green peplum style bustier with floral design paired with peach slim silk pants to a flirty floral day dress with ruffling detail at the shoulders. As always with Posen, this was a collection that any sophisticated glamour girl, woman, mother, or daughter would die to wear.
