Resort 2014: Rebecca Taylor

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Rebecca Taylor
Known for her ultra-feminine collections, Rebecca Taylor tried out an edgier side for Resort this time around. This girl was feminine, but in casually cool dressed down way. A dose of effortlessly hip, anyone?
The transformation took place thanks to pieces like a zebra sweater dress thrown over a sheer nude slip, exposed hemline peeping out, plus a grey-ish blue moto vest thrown over to tie it all together. Meanwhile, a floral print mini skirt with mesh underlay cozied up to a grey cashmere piece that felt decidedly lived-in and sweatshirt-esque. Besides erring on the side of edgy, Taylor’s girl discovered her sultry side. Evidence of the designer’s sexier take on things? A black lace and fishnet transparent patchwork dress atop a coral-hued bandeau top mingled with high waisted boy shorts. Saucy! Her pretty pastels came in looks like a button down shirt with tailored pants and a cotton moto jacket. The lot of it was colored with a splashy purple floral print. The pattern even found its way onto ankle booties, which were shown throughout the collection. To be clear, Taylor’s girl hasn’t lost her feminine touch. But we are loving the infusion of her newfound (slightly) naughty side.
