Resort 2014: Narciso Rodriguez

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) If you’re looking for a clean, simple, modern wardrobe, Narciso Rodriguez is your man. Resort was no different this season. But some lattice, floral and stripe patterns added a bit of depth to the designer’s typically clean slate. A B&W striped strapless cocktail dress was overlayed with a white lace print, for an example, and slouchy white pants were worn underneath a striped tunic top which was then topped with a sheer slip creamy latticework. Meanwhile, a strapless striped column dress with a high slit had varying widths of stripes and was grounded with white lattice mule flats for an updated take on the pervasive ’60s and ’70s revival trend.

And, of course, there were simple chic staples: See: a white sleeveless top worn with slouchy matching pants and a cut-out V-neck black tunic top with matching high-waisted pants and a B&W lattice clutch. All the stylish proof we need that Rodriguez hasn’t forgotten his elegant yet modern core customer’s penchant for understated style.
