Proenza Schouler Debuts A Swimwear Line

by Paige Reddinger

Proenza Schouler is jumping into the chic pool of fashion houses that design swimwear. Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez will show the new swimwear collection at their Resort presentation in New York today. The brand signed a licensing deal with Swimwear Anywhere to distribute the line. Swimwear Anywhere also has licensing deals with Michael Kors, Carmen Marc Valvo, Tommy Hilfiger, Juicy Couture, Vince Camuto, and DKNY.  The collection will consist of 20 styles, including bikinis and one pieces to pareos, and the pool-apropos duds pull inspiration from the designers’ runway ready-to-wear designs. The water-ready pieces will reflect a surfing and skateboarding ethos. In addition, expect to see some of the designer’s archival prints make cameos in the collection. Start planning how to get your hands on this collection tout de suite!
