Next Generation Nepal, the nonprofit organization, celebrated its 10th anniversary with a benefit dinner at The Park in New York City. Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent played host for the evening, which honored Prabal Gurung with the 2016 World Changer Award. During his acceptance speech, the designer spoke about finding his way into fashion after growing up in Nepal. To give back to his native country, he founded the Shikshya Foundation Nepal (“Shikshya” means “knowledge”), which helps to provide education for underprivileged children.
Other notables at the event include Connor and Elizabeth Grennan, Jonathan Lelonek, Paul Josephson, Varsha Thapa, Jay Fielden, Ian Spurrier, and Samantha Pincus.
