Peter Pilotto Spring 2015

by Alexandra Ilyashov

Psychedelic chic! A trippy mashup of patterns, metallic layerings, and whimsical, swooping appliques ruled Peter Pilotto‘s minidress-driven runway for Spring. Lots of noir provided a proper base for the poppy, funky embellishments, which lent plenty of texture and visual stimuli, thanks to the acid bright color palette. Pilotto and Christopher De Vos also whipped up draped midi dresses, some sporting plunging necklines, other crew-necked, many wrap dress-esque in silhouette, didn’t pack as much punch as the A-line minis, but were fun nonetheless. Equally bright collage-like flat sandals by Nicholas Kirkwood underlined the kooky factor from head to toe. These very well might be the sort of frocks that wear the wearer, not vice versa, but such much fun to look at, we’re totally OK with that.
