Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos‘ latest accomplishment? Winning the Swarovski Collective Award. The designers have worked with Swarovski since their fall 2010 collection, and nabbed this award for their use of the the crystals into their spring/summer 2015 and fall/winter 2015 collections.
The design duo, known for their colorful punchy prints, incorporated the dazzling gems in unconventionally cool ways, like embellished denim and flower appliques.They won approximately $28,600 for their Swarovski-infused designs.
The designers competed against 13 other labels in the Swarovski Collective competition throughout New York, London and Paris, including Mary Katrantzou, Prabal Gurung, and Rodarte. The Collective, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, has worked with over 100 emerging and established designers.
