Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton will reunite for a night on May 19th when The New School honors the designer along with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton at the Parsons School of Design’s 67th annual fashion benefit. In a statement they explained the luxury company will be honored for “their 25 years of collaboration with the school as well as its extraordinary philanthropy, celebration of craft, and scholarship and support of innovation.” Parsons alum Jacobs, who was the creative director at Louis Vuitton from 1997 t0 2013, will be saluted for his “vision and singular aesthetic.”

“Parsons couldn’t be more thrilled with the honorees for this year’s Fashion Benefit,” Joel Towers, executive dean of Parsons, explained in a statement. “Marc Jacobs is one our most prestigious alumni and a guiding light in the fashion industry. LVMH reminds us every day how corporate success and creativity can beautifully co-exist. Both honorees will enrich our most important fundraiser of the year.”

This year’s event will be a seated dinner at Manhattan’s River Pavilion with a runway show featuring highlights from Parsons’ graduating fashion students. Fun fact: It’s the same event that Jacobs launched his career at in 1984.
