Pamella Roland Fall 2015

by Dena Silver

It’s always a glamorous affair when the doyenne of evening wear, Pamella DeVos, unveils a collection under her Pamella Roland label. Fall 2015 was no exception to that, and the designer turned back the clock to change things up this season. First off, she started her collection with a tuxedo, inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s Le Smoking. The ’70s references continued from there: swingy mini dresses with flared sleeves, elegant halter dresses in wispy chiffon, and a healthy dose of black silk. Seduction was offered up via lots of skin, from a deep V-neck on a gown to gams-baring slits. When thigh-high Manolo Blahnik boots, which were a collaboration between the two designers, were factored in, the sex appeal was even more amplified. Chic!
