Opening Ceremony Welcomes A COS Pop-Up Shop

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) There’s a new pop-up store to add to your shopping dossier: Opening Ceremony will welcome COS to their Howard Street store for one month, starting October 11th. If that name’s foreign to you, now is a good time to get familiar with it. COS is the sister shop to the H&M label, and it’s got quite a dedicated following. Shoppers have been known to cross the Atlantic in order to score some of their reasonably-priced, minimalistic wares for men and women.

OC’s preview will give shoppers a taste of what’s to come, before COS presents New Yorkers with their first permanent shop at 129 Spring Street in Soho. Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the multi-tasking masterminds behind Opening Ceremony are the ones to blame for your ever-expanding shopping problem. (After all, OC was also responsible for selling Topshop goods before the retailer set up shop in Soho.) What else do OC’s two retail mavens have in store? They’re planning to open a third NYC location on the SuperPier by 2015, then likely followed by world domination.
