NYFWM Spring/Summer 2017: Brett Johnson

by The Daily Front Row

Stepping into the Brett Johnson collection was like stepping into a desert (with a bevy of male models in place of tumbleweeds). The collection was inspired by the sparse landscape of the Arizona and New Mexico deserts, with a color palette ranging from olive green to burnt orange. Textures abound in the collection, popping up in bright knitwear and woven into modern suits, but the dusty rose double-breasted suit proved to be a standout.

“This season, I wanted the collection to adopt a more relaxed, understated perspective with looser, more casual silhouettes, without losing the refined sensibility synonymous with the Brett Johnson brand,” said Johnson. Below, a look at the complete collection.
