NYFW Venue Moves! Calvin Klein Collection Will Be Spring Studio's Inaugural Show

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Let the Spring 2014 NYFW show shuffles begin: For the first time in five years, Calvin Klein Collection will be moving NYFW show spaces from their usual garment district location to the brand-new Spring Studios in Tribeca. As the first and only label showing this season in the soon-to-be-opened spot, Spring Studio’s minimalistic vibe will surely dovetail with the house’s Spring 2014 collection that Francisco Costa will be sending down the runway. Located at 50 Varick Street, Spring Studios is a London-based creative agency that has spent four years turning a former Verizon Building into a cluster of photo studios, green rooms, art galleries and offices. (Sounds a little like Milk Studios, non?).

Expect to see a number of fashion and art related events housed within the 120,00-square-foot complex in the near future. Lest we forget about the Calvin Klein after party, that will also be housed in Spring Studios, albeit on a different floor (and, of course, at a later time than the runway show). In past years, the brand has fêted their collections at the likes of The Beatrice Inn and lofts in the MePa district (and, back in 2006, at 7 World Trade Center!). The label skipped the party circuit What’s there to celebrate other than the final results of another artful collection? Costa’s tenth year at the helm of creative for the Women’s brand as well as the launch of a new fragrance, DOWNTOWN Calvin Klein. And celebrate they will!
