New York's High Line Is In Fashion

by The Daily Front Row

NYFW is starting a little earlier in certain parts of town. The first ever “Friends of the Highline” fashion show is on the way with 13 local NYC teens creating back-to-school looks for high school and college students that will be presented to the public on Thursday, August 29th on the High Line’s 16th Street entrance at 7 p.m. Throughout the summer, the teens attended information sessions in the studios of designers, make-up artists, and hair stylists. The series culminated with studio apprenticeships in which teens paired off with individual designers to create new looks for the show. Nice! Earlier this summer, J. Crew teamed up with the High Line for a special collection with 100 percent of the proceeds from sales going to keep the park clean.
