by The Daily Front Row

Kenneth Guidroz Jr. and Dan Murphy, two faces from Soul Artist Management, spend their year jetting around the globe, so the international mods are staying put in NYC for their Thanksgiving dinner. Apparently, one’s an experimental chef, and one doting father. All together now: awwww!

Do tell, where will you be for Thanksgiving?
I’ll be spending my Thanksgiving in NY this year. It will be my first one here. I’ll probably spend it with some friends.

The one balloon in the Macy’s Day Parade you’re looking forward to?
My favorite balloon would have to be the Spider Man, my son loves Spider Man.

Have you ever had a tropical Turkey Day?
I don’t think I’ve ever traveled for Thanksgiving, I’ve always spent it home with mom!

Are you usually dressed in black tie or sweatpants for dinner?
I’m usually dressed casual and very comfortable. I will probably end up having food and alcohol stains before the night is up anyway!

How comfortable are you in the kitchen?
I love to experiment in the kitchen, which usually means I make a huge meal that is different every year.

What dishes end up on your menu?
A couple years ago, I made a chocolate ale-marinated pork tenderloin along with the standard turkey with all the trimmings.

Where will you be celebrating this year?
With my crazy travel and work schedule it seemed to hectic to jump on another plane for Thanksgiving. I’m planning a wonderful Turkey-day with dear friends in NYC.

And what’s your guest list like?
People come and go at my house all the time so I keep things really casual. With an open-door policy with my friends, there is always extra food and drink in the fridge!

Have you ever had an international Thanksgiving?
Growing up in Hong Kong, one of my favorite memories was seeing the American Navy ship coming into port for Thanksgiving. American families would host sailors who couldn’t make it home for the holiday. It was nice to be able to give them a taste of home and make new friendships.
