Madison Avenue

Miracle on Madison Avenue returned over the weekend for its 28th year, turning one of New York City’s most famous streets into ‘Charity Central’. This year, an impressive 90 brands and retailers welcomed shoppers and donated 20 percent of sales to The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It marks the third year that Miracle on Madison Avenue has raised funds targeted to the pediatric initiatives of The Society of MSKCC, a volunteer org dedicated to promoting the well-being of adult and pediatric patients, supporting cancer research, and providing public education on the early prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer.

Host committee members Courtney Arnot, Muffie Potter Aston, Nina Carbone, Robyn Joseph, Martha O’Brien Lamphere, Amanda Meigher, Sarah Powers, Annie Taube, MSKCC president Martha Glass, plus MSKCC Associates Committee chairman Eleanor Ylvisaker were joined by Town & Country‘s style director Stellene Volandes as well as T&C publisher Jennifer Levine Bruno for the occasion. The Hearst title returned as the media sponsor for the event, which is organized by the Madison Avenue BID. Participating retailers included Alexis Bittar, Bally, David Yurman, de Grisogono, Elaine Turner, Georg Jensen, Graff Diamonds, Gucci, Ippolita, Lalique, Leggiadro, Longchamp, Nespresso, Stuart Weitzman, and Tory Burch. We’d also like to give you a friendly reminder that you’ve got 14 shopping days left until Christmas…
