Streep Savvy: In this monthÕs Florence Foster Jenkins, directed by Stephen Frears, Meryl Streep gives full-throated life to an eccentric socialite and self-styled divaÑand her uproarious off-key singing.

Meryl! The divine Meryl Streep covers this weekend’s edition of WSJ. magazine, which is their September ‘Women’s Fashion’ issue and up 4% in ad pages over last year, according to publisher Anthony Cenname. Inside, the star of the critical darling film Florence Foster Jenkins finally comments on the Taste of Streep Instagram account which sees the actress emerging from donuts, pies, mozzarella sticks, etc. for no good reason. “I don’t even know what that means,” Streep says with a laugh to writer Alex Bhattacharji. “People have too much time on their hands,” she says. “We need to create more jobs!”
