The fashion pages of Marie Claire will be getting a boost from two new staffers: today, the glossy announced the hires of Catherine Newell-Hanson as fashion editor-at-large and Carolina O’Neill as fashion writer. Newell-Hanson is adding this gig, effective immediately, to her current independent styling and fashion consulting work. She was on staff at V for four years as their fashion and market editor, and her styling has graced the pages of Vogue, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, WSJ, Interview and Teen Vogue. Meanwhile, O’Neill will arrive at Hearst on September 15th from Condé Nast’s Architectural Digest, where she’s been an editorial associate since June 2012. Prior to that, she was fashion assistant at Net-A-Porter’s online magazine, The Edit. These hires follow last month’s internal promotions of Jessica Minkoff from fashion features editor to senior market editor and Brittany Kozerski‘s jump from associate market editor to market editor.
