Marchesa Spring 2015

Marchesa Spring 2015

Marchesa has never fallen short in terms of texture, and this spring season was no different. Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig created looks adorned in flowers, lace, and even added some very intricate bird prints into the mix. All of the detailing and romanticism made for a fairy tale-inspired collection. This marked the 10-year anniversary of Marchesa, and a return to their native London, and sartorially, they celebrated the milestone with a dreamy, unabashedly pretty collection. Earthy greens, bright whites, gilded lace; deep pinks, blues, purples and oranges existed as the color scheme. A dramatic shoulder-bearing short dress textured in deep green flowers with a white backdrop or a gold deep-V and tiered skirt gown with floral embroidery transported their woman to an idyllic universe. Although ethereal, flowy shapes were paramount, there was enough structure to keep things from becoming too loose. Marchesa’s stable of A-list actresses are sure to get on board with the designers’ latest tapis rouge-ready fantasy.
