Mara Hoffman Spring 2015

Vying for a dose of happiness to brighten up Spring 2015? Look no further than Mara Hoffman‘s Technicolor collection, which was a mash-up of white, airy pieces decorated with muted rainbow hues. The whole affair had a certain Southwestern influence, which was further proven by a cluster of cacti on the runway. The clothing certainly looked as if it would fare well in blisteringly dry heat, like look une, where simple white linen culottes found a match in a button down shirt, adorned with two palm fronds. That sheer caftan would certainly find itself at home amongst the desert in Palm Springs, where a leaf print jumper would be welcome as well. Meanwhile, a blue linen shirt and pant combo had a tinge of a ’70s feel to it, with an embroidered circular rainbow. Colorful pieces took precedence; the makeup was light and dewy, the mods were devoid of baubles, and the hair was woven into fishtail braids. The only acceptable accessory? A baseball cap, which coordinated with each look, and was finished off in the back with a knot, the tails of which draped down the model’s backs. The desert through Hoffman’s eyes is quite an adventure indeed.
