Remember a month or two ago when we were able to praise what Lupita Nyong’o was wearing everyday? Ah, memories. We’re still in withdrawal, so how lovely for the Oscar winner to throw us a bone and go out and about last night. Nyong’o attended the Marie Claire and Maybelline New York “Fresh Faces” party at Soho House in Los Angeles last night, and wore this Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress with floral embroideries from their Fall 2013 collection. She appears in Marie Claire‘s May issue and tells them that she knows she’s had quite a year. “It was phenomenal,” Nyong’o says. “As brilliant as it was, onward ho. I hope that I will get to work soon. In due time, what I should do next and what I want to do next will reveal themselves. I am not in the business of trying to top this year – that’s virtually impossible. I’d have to be pronounced the queen of England or something.” Funny!
