Lela Rose Spring 2015

by Daniel Chivu

Ultra femme was the M.O. at Lela Rose for Spring. B&W was the predominant color scheme, punctuated with baby blues, muted yellows, cloudy greys and vivacious magenta tones playing supporting roles. Every piece was cut with a ladylike appeal. An all-white flouncy mid-calf dress bared the shoulders and accentuated the waist. A matching pencil skirt and blouse were scattered with blue roses and topped off with a navy and white pixelated pattern kimono. A-line was the silhouette du season when it came to dresses and skirts, while a few pant options were incorporated this season chez Rose; the array of skirts and dresses only enhanced the delicate, feminine feel of the collection. This designer is notorious for her girlish flair, and there’s plenty for clients to indulge in this spring.
