Kristina O'Neill's First WSJ. Cover Debuts

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Kristina O’Neill‘s first cover of WSJ. came out today, on the editor-in-chief’s own Instagram, as well as in her WWD treatment in today’s issue. Looks like O’Neill is planning on doing a bit of forward thinking at her new post! A clean aesthetic rules for O’Neill’s first cover shot, with model Kati Nescher looking wide-eyed and ethereal, donning one of Alex Wang’s piece-y, brilliant Spring ’13 creations. O’Neill gives a shout out to creative director Magnus Berger in her Instagrammed share of the cover shot. O’Neill brought Berger on last November to help her helm the mag’s latest look.

Like Deborah Needleman‘s T cover, the Lee Radziwill-festooned gist of which The Daily broke in early January, O’Neill avoided excess type and went with a head-on portrait. What’s inside each of these much anticipated, newly revamped tomes remains to be seen, but we’ll have to wait until February 16 for WSJ.’s next issue to land, and a day later for Needleman’s T to take off!
