Kate Spade Splashes Into Swim With A Rooftop Pool Party

by Dena Silver

Forgive us for thinking so far ahead, but last night Kate Spade New York unveiled their inaugural swimwear collection at the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel’s pool, and we’re now eagerly awaiting the moment when this Cruise 2015 collection hits the racks. Replete with all those Kate Spade signatures, this swimwear is decorated with cheeky gold charms, a healthy dose of bows, and a few witty quotes to get you going. Featuring details culled from chief creative officer Deborah Lloyd‘s ready-to-wear collections, sophisticated shapes are translated in Italian crepe and liquid lame. In a statement, Lloyd described her first tryst with swim: “Our debut swimwear collection is colorful, bold, playful, optimistic, sophisticated, and timeless. It’s retro reimagined, classic with a twist, and pays homage to our heritage whether with a classic black and white stripe, a graphic dot, or an artisanal print.” So, will you opt for a canon ball or a classic dive to make a splash in Kate Spade swim?
