Juicy Couture's Co-Founders Attempting To Buy The Brand Back

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Juicy Couture’s co-founders, Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, want to get the phenomenon that started the velour tracksuit craze back into their hands. The women left the self-founded brand in 2010 to found their own label, Skaist-Taylor. But recent reports say that the girls are on the hunt for investors to help them reclaim Juicy Couture from Fifth & Pacific Cos., which acquired the brand in 2003. Fifth & Pacific is reportedly in the works of selling Juicy Couture (and Lucky Brand) to raise money for the expansion of Kate Spade. The brand has come along way since it was first founded by the duo in 1995 as it now has 75 specialty stores and 53 outlets under its belt. Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor would no doubt bring renewed energy to the brand, but they’ll surely have quite a bit of work on their plate to helm the ever-expanding business.
