Here’s a fashion collaboration we didn’t see coming: Jean Paul Gaultier is designing a capsule collection for OVS S.p.A., a leading Italian mass market retailer. The collection, called Jean Paul Gaultier for OVS, will comprise about 60 pieces of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, and will be available beginning in mid November in a selection of stores and ovs.it.

The last Jean Paul Gaultier collab on our radar was with Beth Ditto in December, when he designed a T-shirt in anticipation of her new plus size line. In addition to his own couture line, he continues to design with Seven & I Group for its brand, Sept Premières.

OVS, which has about 900 stores worldwide, has recently put the focus on churning out fast fashion with a high-end design aesthetic. In the past, it’s collaborated with Costume National and Matthew Williamson, and recently launched a capsule collection dedicated to the Italy Arts of Italy.
