Jean Paul Gaultier and Beth Ditto, longtime chums (he designed her wedding gown in 2013, and she walked in his Spring 2011 runway show), can add “collaborators” to the list. In anticipation of her plus-size launch in February, Ditto, the front-woman of indie-rock band Gossip, has teamed up with Gaultier to release a T-shirt emblazoned with his famed bullet-bra corset. Get this: One side bears a lithograph print, while the back is a 3D appliqué corset that actually laces up. The Daily predicts this will be a sellout to rival the H&M x Balmain collection.
“Long live the beauty with shapes, boobs, and bottoms,” Gaultier said of the collab. The T-shirt, $165, is available now at BethDitto.com, comes in sizes 1x and 2x, and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Girls Rock Camp Foundation. Rock on.
