Honor Spring 2015

Giovanna Randall’s penchant for ‘60s and ’70s era babydoll silhouettes, collars, and bell sleeves (and this year, very belled pants!) mixed with luxuriously feminine fabrics is kind of her thing and it’s garnering her plenty of fans like actress and “it” girl Zosia Mamet, who attended, donning one of the designer’s canary yellow frocks. Julie Macklowe also wore one of the designer’s canary yellow gowns to The Met Ball with Randall in tow and all her friends took notice, prompting her to host a dinner at her chic home in the Hamptons to introduce them to the designer this summer.

This season it was more of Randall’s gorgeous feminine frocks, but not a touch of yellow! This time it was soft baby blues, vibrant tangerines, white and hints of pale pink. The gowns had a romantic air with a Valentino vibe (one black number was very, very Valentino…). But the scalloped and sheer hemlines of skirts was a standout signature, and the silky sky blue gown with a ruffled collar that closed the show was simply divine.
