It’s not every CEO who gets to open their home to the Queen (and a few Queens) for a night, but last night Absolut Elyx CEO Jonas Tåhlin welcomed Her Majesty a.k.a. Dame Helen Mirren and friends to his castle dubbed House of Elyx on West 14th Street in Manhattan. The occasion was The Weinstein Company’s celebration of Helen Mirren and her Oscar worthy performance in Woman in Gold, which came out earlier this year. “I haven’t met her yet tonight, but I saw her movie and loved it. It holds your attention at every single second,” Lindsay Ellingson told us. “I’ve also heard Helen’s the most down to earth and lovely woman.” True that! Dame Helen’s appreciation club consisted of Harvey Weinstein, Sir Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Celia Weston, Tina Louise (Gillgan’s Island legend Ginger!), Celine Rattray, Sante D’Orazio, Ann Dexter-Jones, Daniel Benedict, Sandy Kenyon, Genevieve BahrenburgCharl Brown, and Cinema Society founder Andrew Saffir.
