Frame Denim Fall 2015

by Dena Silver

Frame Denim’s name might allude to collections that are purely denim-driven. But three years after its inception, the label now involves ready-to-wear for the first time. The inspiration for this range was the ’70s, most notably the American take on the key styles of the era, based on how Europeans were dressing at the time. This translated to looks like a suede trench coat, a striped shirtdress, and very chic culottes. There were indeed some impeccably-cut denim pieces, like a high-cut flare with large front pockets. The short-sleeved denim jumpsuit, with the brand’s first leather belt, is definitely one to keep an eye on. So what else is new this season? “We’ve started developing our own patterns, which is really new,” said Jens Grede, half of Frame’s founding duo.
