Fendi Fall/Winter 2016

Oh, Karl! The kaiser always knows how to capture the zeitgeist of a trend and make it feel new again. Ruffles have been running the runways, but chez Fendi they take on a new life. They undulated around the thighs of ultra-cool thigh-high boots, and curved around collars, shoulders, waists, and hems. Even the bags and costume jewelry were curvy. The effect was a futuristic twist on ’70s prairie themes. 

The furs were, naturally, outstanding. They came in beautiful colors and featured the collection’s most prominent motif. But if you’re going to buy a Fendi fur, darlings, you might as well buy the bag, too! Totes were done entirely in fur and if you can afford one, you’ll have yourself the new “it” bag du saison. Just don’t ever let it touch the floor—they’ll need their own seat, chéries, and a personal chauffeur while you’re at it. Trends are a ripple effect, but Karl is always on the next wave.
