Welcome to the final day of the Spring collections! So, how do all you chicettes plot out those ensembles for a month’s worth of runways? Cosmopolitan‘s fashion market director Shiona Turini is always impeccable decked to the nines. We caught up with her to find out how it’s done and how she survives in her heels during a long day of back-to-back shows. How are you holding up, darlings?
You’re always put together. How many suitcases of outfits did you pack?
I didn’t do Milan this year, so I actually only brought one suitcase and one very heavy carry on.
How far in advance do you plan your wardrobe?
I had to move my flight up earlier, because of the Air France strike, so I planned the day of! I packed in a couple of hours, but I start thinking about what I’m going to pack for Paris during New York Fashion Week.
How many pairs of shoes did you bring to Paris?
Way too many! But I think I brought all of the wrong ones. I keep wearing the same white Manolos over and over. Of course, I packed all of these things I planned to wear and ended up not wearing them. Every morning it changes. That’s why I don’t even bother planning ahead anymore.
How do you handle your heels all day?
I guess I’m just used to it. My feet actually hurt when I have on flats! But I don’t wear shoes that are uncomfortable. I don’t even play those games! That’s why I’m always in my Manolos and Alaïas.
