Exclusive: Glamour Snags Vogue’s Jessica Sailer As Fashion Market Director

by Dena Silver

Your Daily has uncovered yet another juicy media move to discuss: Vogue‘s Jessica Sailer has been named fashion market director at Glamour. Before entering the media realm, Sailer was on the accessories and merchandising team at Ralph Lauren. Eight years ago, she started her tenure at Vogue as Anna Wintour‘s assistant. From there, she went on to assist Virginia Smith, and continued to climb the ranks from associate fashion editor to market editor, where she most recently tackled the American market and the Index section. This past September, Sailer’s to-do list grew, when Meredith Melling Burke left the glossy and her duties were dispersed among the title’s fashion market editors.

“Jessica is a terrific editor with a great eye, and I’m thrilled to welcome her to the team of tremendous talent that Jill Davison is assembling at Glamour,” EIC Cindi Leive told The Daily of the hire. In her new capacity, Sailer will cover the Italian market and key American designers.
