Exclusive: Fresh Hires At Harper's Bazaar

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Harper’s Bazaar is adding two new names to its masthead next month, as well as bumping up two current editorial staffers via a duo of promotions. Lindsay Talbot will join the Hearst glossy on May 15 as senior features editor, following a three-year stint as an assistant editor at Vogue. During her time as a Vogue-ette, beginning in March 2010, Talbot has worked closely with Hamish Bowles, and worked on a variety of front-of-book sections at the mag. Prior to moving up to 4 Times Square’s storied 12th floor, Talbot spent three years as editorial assistant to Teen Vogue‘s entertainment director; after graduating from Columbia University, Talbot landed at Elle, where she served as editorial assistant to the magazine’s longtime fashion news director, Anne Slowey, for eight months. Also new to the Bazaar posse, arriving from Conde HQ: Brittany Frascht, who starts her new gig as fashion market assistant at the title on May 8 after two years as a fashion assistant at GQ, assisting creative director Jim Moore. Before GQ, Frascht freelanced in a PR capacity at Tommy Hilfiger, and interned in the fashion departments at Elle and Marie Claire.

“I am proud to promote two members of my staff and to hire both Lindsay as senior features editor and Brittany as fashion market assistant; announcing these four new posts only adds to our already incredible team,” Bazaar EIC Glenda Bailey told The Daily via email.

On the promotions front,
Bazaar has shifted Mallory Schlau‘s title from associate market editor to fashion market editor, four months after Schlau joined the publication. Also moving on up, after three and a half years at Bazaar: Cassie Anderson, who’s been named associate fashion market editor after two years as the mag’s assistant fashion editor and a year or so assisting stylist Brana Wolf. Félicitations to all!
