Emporio Armani Spring 2015

by Paige Reddinger

There’s a reason why Armani is worth billions. Like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, he has a formula and a laser-focused brand message that he sticks to season after season, regardless of trends. So, what was on tap this season? Armani blues and greys and expertly tailored suiting, bien sûr. That tried-and-true aesthetic was translated into pieces like a stark white and navy wide striped suit and trio of schoolboy blazers, each accented with the same cornflower blue hue. Just because this Spring collection adhered to Armani’s DNA, that doesn’t mean the design team didn’t have a little fun in the process: Metallic blue leather topped off cotton poplin skirts, while blue tortoiseshell PVC fabric made a peek-a-boo appearance underneath a proper navy shift dress with a draped neckline. There were options for the classic Armani client as well as younger chicsters. Needless to say, we’ve got the blues for Mr. Armani’s latest!
