Domenico Dolce: "We will close. We will not be able to deal with it."

Domenico Dolce tells The Telegraph that his label with Stefano Gabbana will shutter if they are forced to pay the 343 million Euro fine for tax evasion. “We will close,” Dolce reveals. “What do you want us to do? We will close. We will not be able to deal with it. (It’s) Impossible.” Last week, the duo temporarily shut down their stores in Milan as an act of protest against the Italian government. “We are not going to give in to being crucified like thieves, because we are not,” Gabbana said. “How could we accept being branded tax evaders? We are good people, we live in Italy we pay taxes in Italy, we don’t pretend to live abroad.” Ironically, Page Six is reporting today that Gabbana has been looking at property in Manhattan. Word is he was recently seen checking out the $60 million penthouse at the Mark Hotel.
