Dining With Dunhill At The Down Town Association

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Last night Alfred Dunhill hosted a dapper dinner for their Fall 2013 preview to a group of select menswear editors at The Down Town Association, Manhattan’s oldest private men’s club in the Financial District. Menswear editors like Bruce Pask of T, David Farber of WSJ., Tasha Green of Departures, Miguel Enamorado of Interview, Brian Boye and Sandra Nygaard of Men’s Health, and Madeline Weeks of GQ to name a few were presented the new collection of three-piece suits, from a chic wine colored velvet tux and luxurious midnight blue tuxedos to casual cable-knit roll neck sweaters. Later guests dined over pressed duck terrine, seared sea trout, and toffee pudding from Whitehall Bar & Kitchen prepared by Aussie-born, British-inspired chef Chris Rendell on a candlelit table that spanned the length of the room and kept guests cozy next to the grand fireplace. The 153-year-old elegant club was the perfect setting for the 119-year-old British brand. It was the club’s first time hosting a fashion event, and we suspect, certainly not the last.
