Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2015

by Dena Silver

Serving up Spring as a mix of demure, sexy, and youthful, all with a smile, was the equation this season for Diane von Furstenberg. With her new creative director Michael Herz taking center stage, the DvF brand has been given a whole new perspective, and it’s as happy as can be. It was a major moment for gingham, showcased in two-piece looks including crop tops, short shorts, wide-leg pants, babydoll frocks, and wrap dress with a sheer skirt, there were also plenty of cheerful floral prints. We also adored the pop of yellow in a chic gown with a thigh high slit that floated down the runway. For the working gal, there were a few trou options and a silk shirt dress, but this collection was certainly tailored to playtime, bra tops and all. Adding to the playfulness was a definite Brigitte Bardot vibe thanks to those voluminous, slightly curled coifs, and the smudgy, dark eyes. We absolutely adore every bit of it.
