Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2015

If Cleopatra was around today, there’s no doubt she would be fully wardrobed in Cushnie et Ochs threads. The common thread: sexy with a heavy dose of glamour, but a maintained air of coolness. That’s exactly who Michelle Ochs and Carly Cushnie had in mind for Spring 2015. As Ochs told us, “There’s lots of color for us this season. We were looking at sunset colors that were warm and sexy.” Starting with a deep marigold, a series of slinky dresses arrived, each featuring an intriguing detail like a fringed hem, and cut outs up the leg. They were followed by the blues, a buttery navy hue that was best translated on silks seemed molded to the body. Blue gave way to pink, which then delved into stripes of black and white, followed by monochromatic hues of black, then white. Throughout, the sensuality found in each piece of Cushnie et Ochs wares was present. There were unexpected peeks of skin, extremely low-cut necklines, and short hemlines. But as always, the threads were risqué yet classy. Just like Cleopatra herself.
