by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) The Hollywood power stylist duo composed of Emily Current and Meritt Elliott are finally filling the masses in on what they’ve been up to since bidding adieu to their eponymous denim line. Their latest collab? A design stint with Pottery Barn’s younger offshoot, PBteen. The 37-piece collection, entiled Emily and Meritt for PBteen, has been percolating for approximately a year. The assortment of furniture and home accessories will be available for purchase on September 20th in stores and September 18th online. The two longtime stylists entered the design world in 2008 with their namesake denim label, Current/Elliott, which they founded with the help of Serge Azria. It’s been speculated that Azria was the reason the duo departed their label back in 2012. Azria is the current CEO of Dutch LLC, the enterprise that owns of Current/Elliott in addition to contemporary staples Joie and Equipment.

What can we expect from the former jeans designers as they foray into housewares? A hint of chambray, in addition to two complete bedding sets, plus kitschy butterfly rugs and bunny lamps. In addition to rolling out another home collection by Spring 2014, Current and Elliott will continue to build a whole lifestyle lifestyle brand with the release of a Rizzoli coffee table book and a reemergence on the apparel design scene. Keep your eyes peeled for this comeback!
